Upon Vulture Peak, there blooms a mystical lotus, its thousand petals entwined in a dance of black and white, attuned to the whispers of the world. The white petals embody boundless compassion, while the black ones harbor the shadow of malevolence. After the enlightenment, Buddha sought to cleanse the lotus of its darkened petals, but the efforts were in vain. In time, the lotus was cleaved into two—one pure and white, the other dark as night. Through the Buddha's guidance, the lotus was reborn, its dual nature giving rise to the revered Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva.
